A weekly review is not a complete re-analysis of every trade. Fix missing data, identify where results differed, and leave one observable action for the next week.

Close the records first

Filter to the current week and separate open positions from completed trades. A closed trade left open, or a missing P/L value, will change the statistics.

  • Completed positions still marked open
  • Missing outcome, P/L, or fees
  • Duplicate records
  • Inconsistent symbol or strategy names

Read the total only once

Check total P/L, win rate, average win, and average loss without judging them immediately. One better week does not prove that the process has changed.

Open only two important differences

Choose the two largest differences among symbol, direction, strategy, or leverage, then open the underlying trades. Separate a repeated action from a difference created by one exceptional trade.

Change one observable action

Several changes at once make it hard to know what mattered. Choose one behavior you can verify, such as placing the stop order with entry, using consistent strategy names, or saving the basic record immediately after the trade.

Check this entry

  • Every completed trade has an outcome and P/L
  • Total and average results were read together
  • Original entries behind the largest difference were opened
  • One observable action was selected for next week
