Saving many screenshots is less useful than making the decision points recognizable later. Start with four marker types and one factual note.

Choose enough chart context

A screenshot centered only on the entry candle may hide the setup and what followed. Include the timeframe, structure before entry, and price action after the exit when possible.

Crop or cover account numbers, balances, order identifiers, and notifications before uploading.

Four markers are enough

Entry, exit, stop, and target make the original plan and actual action easier to compare.

  • Entry: actual fill area
  • Exit: where the position closed
  • Stop: planned or executed invalidation level
  • Target: the area expected at the time

Describe what can be checked on the image

Replace vague notes such as looked strong with details you can see again, such as pullback after the prior high broke.

If the plan changed, record when it changed and why instead of rewriting the original reasoning.

Read the image with the full entry

A chart alone can hide position size, P/L, strategy, and emotional state. Open the record detail and compare the image with those fields before reaching a conclusion.
